Halloween is coming! Here's my pattern of a Little Witch for you to make. It's a free pattern designed by me so please don't redistribute it for sale or for free. If you wish to share this pattern, you may link back to my blog.

Little Witch

Supplies:
·         Worsted weight yarn in colors listed:
Black
White
Orange
Skin tone
Purple
Brown
Light brown
Yellow
·         Crochet hook size 3.00mm
·         Fiberfill
·         Yarn needle

Finished doll is about 8” tall from feet to top of hat if using worsted weight yarn.

Abbreviations:

·         ch - chain
·         sc – single crochet
·         dc – double crochet
·        dec – decrease (stitch next 2 stitches together)
·        inc – increase (stitch 2 times into the next stitch)
·         sl st – slip stitch
·         Rnd – round
·         [ ] repeat work as directed
·         ( ) number of stitches you should have at the end of your round

Before you begin:
·         This amigurumi is worked in continuous rounds. Mark the beginning of each round with a stitch marker.
·         Gauge is not important in this project as long as you are consistent with your tension.
·         This project is made with all sc stitches unless otherwise specified.

Little Witch
Legs:
If you’d like the rounds to meet up perfectly, work the legs in joined rounds. (You join each round with a sl st at the end and ch 1 to begin a new round.)
Make two. In black yarn.
Rnd 1: 6sc in magic ring (6)
Rnd 2: sc in next sc, inc in next sc (9)
Rnd 3-4: sc in each sc around (9).
Change to white yarn.
Rnd 5-6: sc in each sc around (9)
Change to orange yarn.
Rnd 7-8: sc in each sc around (9)
Change to white yarn.
Rnd 9-10: sc in each sc around (9)

Change to orange yarn.
Rnd 11-12: sc in each sc around (9)
Change to white yarn.
Rnd 13-14: sc in each sc around (9)
Do not need to leave a long tail.
Second leg: do not cut the tail. Stuff both legs. Insert hook in the first leg, join with sl st and start crocheting de body


Body:
Body is crocheted around the legs.
In black yarn.
Rnd 1: sc in next 2sc, inc in next sc (24)
Rnd 2: sc in each sc around (24)
Rnd 3: sc in each sc around, only in back loops (24)
Rnd 4: sc in next 2sc, dec in next sc (18)
Rnd 5-7: sc in each sc around (18)
Stuff body.
Rnd 8: sc in next sc, dec in next sc (12)
Rnd 9:  dec in each sc around (6)
Change to skin tone yarn and start crocheting the head.


Head:
Rnd 1: inc each sc around (12)
Rnd 2: *sc in next sc, inc in next sc* (18)
Rnd 3: *sc in next 2sc, inc in next sc (24)
Rnd 4: sc in next 3sc, inc in next sc (30)
Rnd 5-7: sc in each sc around (30)
Rnd 8: sc in next 3sc, dec in next sc (24)
Rnd 9: sc in next 2sc, dec in next sc (18)
Stuff head.
Rnd 10: sc in next sc, dec in next sc (12)
Rnd 11:  dec in each sc around (6)
With black yarn add French knots to make the doll's eyes.



Hair:
In purple yarn.
Rnd 1: 6sc in magic ring (6)
Rnd 2: inc each sc around (12)
Rnd 3: *sc in next sc, inc in next sc* (18)
Rnd 4: *sc in next 2sc, inc in next sc (24)
Rnd 5: sc in next 3sc, inc in next sc (30)
Rnd 6-7: sc in each sc around (30)
Rnd 8: [work fringe] [3ch, skip 1 st, 1dc in next 3 st, 3ch, skip 1 st, sl st] two times. [End of fringe]
Rnd 9: [work back of head] 17sc, turn 
Rnd 10-15: 1ch, 17sc, turn
Rnd 16-17: 1ch, inc each sc around, turn
Sew the hair to the head.


 Arms:
Make two. Don't stuff. In skin tone yarn.
Rnd 1: 6sc in magic ring (6)
Rnd 2-9: sc in each sc around (6)
Change to black  yarn.
Rnd 10-11: sc in each sc around (6)
Leave a long tail to sew. Sew on the arms on both sides of the body.

Skirt:
Hold the Body upside down, with the Head towards you to work skirt. Join black  yarn with a sl st in front loop of any st on Rnd 3 of Body.
Rnd 1: Ch 1, *sc in next sc, inc in next sc*
Rnd 2-4: sc in each sc around.
Fasten off.



Hat:
In black yarn.
Rnd 1: 4sc in magic ring (4)
Rnd 2: sc in each sc around (4)
Rnd 3: inc each sc around (8)
Rnd 4: sc in each sc around (8)
Rnd 5: *sc in next sc, inc in next sc* (12)
Rnd 6: sc in each sc around (12)
Rnd 7: *sc in next 2sc, inc in next sc (16)
Rnd 8: sc in each sc around (16)
Rnd 9: sc in next 3sc, inc in next sc (20)
Rnd 10: sc in each sc around (20)
Rnd 11: sc in next 4sc, inc in next sc (24)
Rnd 12: sc in each sc around (24)
Rnd 13: sc in next 5sc, inc in next sc (28)
Rnd 14: sc in each sc around (28)
Change to orange yarn.
Rnd 15: sc in next 6sc, inc in next sc (32)
Rnd 16: sc in each sc around (32)
Change to black yarn.
Rnd 17: sc in each sc around, only in front loops (32)
Rnd 18: *sc in next sc, inc in next sc* (48)
Rnd 19: sc in each sc around (48)

Broom:
Stick:
In brown yarn.
Rnd 1: 5sc in magic ring (5)
Rnd 2-15: sc in each sc around (5)
Finish off.
Bristle:
In yellow yarn.
Cut about 20-30 4”/10cm strips of yarn. Fold the strips of yarn in half. Grab the stick and arrange the bristle strips around the end of the stick. Secure the bristles onto the stick by tying some light brown yarn around.
