Christmas has come and gone so fast, but we had a wonderful time with our family.
Navidad ha llegado y se ha ido tan rápidamente, pero aún así pasamos un tiempo maravilloso con nuestra familia.
We had our first Christmas at our new home and it was great! We had dinner on our terrace and the view of the hills at night was incredible. The appetizers were homemade and delicious :)
Pasamos nuestra primera navidad en nuestra casa nueva y fue genial! Cenamos en la terraza y la vista a las sierras de noche fue increible. Los aperitivos eran caseros y deliciosos :)
The decoration was made by me. I used the #holidayyarntrees as table markers and I crocheted a holly cutlery holder for each guest. There was a warm light coming from the night candles in the crochet jars. Santa's hats, #flockedchristmastrees and small pines completed the Christmassy scene.
La decoración fue realizada por mi. Usé los #holidayyarntrees como marcadores de sitio y tejí muérdagos para utilizar de cubierteros para cada comensal. Había una cálida luz proveniente de las velitas de noche dentro de unos porta velas tejidos a crochet. Gorritos de Papá Noel, #flockedchristmastrees y pinitos completaban la escena navideña.

Last January we moved from Buenos Aires to a small city called Río Ceballos in Córdoba. It has been a very big change for all of us but luckily, a change for the better. The place we used to live turned into a very insecure city and as having a young boy we considered moving as an improvement in our lives.
Little by little, we're getting to know every corner of this beautiful city. Some days ago we visited an idyllic place where you can fish, eat asado and have a wonderful time surrounded by nature.
El enero pasado nos mudamos de Buenos Aires a una pequeña ciudad llamada Río Ceballos, en Córdoba. Ha sido un gran cambio para nosotros pero por suerte un cambio para mejor. El lugar donde solíamos vivir se volvió una ciudad muy insegura y como tenemos un niño consideramos mudarnos como una mejora en nuestras vidas.
Poco a poco, vamos conociendo cada rincón de esta hermosa ciudad. Hace unos días, visitamos un lugar idílico donde se puede pescar, comer asado y pasar un tiempo increíble rodeado por la naturaleza.
There's a lake where you can find trouts, frogs and aquatic plants. The view of the hills is stunning!
Hay un lago donde se pueden encontrar truchas, ranas y plantas acuáticas. La vista a los cerros es imponente!
It's full of fruit trees: pears, pomegranates, peaches, figs, blackberries and prickly pears among others.
Está lleno de árboles frutales: peras, granadas, duraznos, higos, moras y tunas entre otros.
As we're in spring here, the flowers are in full bloom as you can see from the pictures. They make this place even more pleasing.
Como aquí estamos en primavera, las flores están en plena floración como pueden ver en las fotos. Hacen que el lugar sea aún más agradable.
We love spending our free time in beautiful landscapes, sitting under an arbor and enjoying the peace and quiet. What about you?
Nos encanta pasar nuestro tiempo libre en hermosos paisajes, sentados bajo una pérgola disfrutando de la paz y la tranquilidad. Y a ustedes?
My son's school organized an Art exhibition. The art works are being presented in Casa de la Cultura Villa Allende from November 20th to November 22nd and it's open to the general public.
La escuela de mi hijo organizó una Muestra de arte. Las obras están siendo presentadas en Casa de la Cultura Villa Allende desde el 20 de Noviembre hasta el 22 de Noviembre y está abierta al público en general.
The exposition presents masks and portraits created by primary school children, my son included, of course :). The masks are made out of paper, paper plates and plaster and the children used tempera to paint them.
La exposición presenta máscaras y retratos creados por niños de primaria, incluido mi hijo, obviamente :). Las máscaras están realizadas en papel, platos descartables y yeso. Los niños utilizaron témperas para colorearlas.
The portraits were painted using different techniques and materials, such as charcoal, India ink, pencil, tempera, wool, etc. Some of the drawings are full of color but others are monochromatic.
Los retratos fueron pintados usando diferentes técnicas y materiales, como por ejemplo carboncillo, tinta china, témpera, lana, etc. Algunos de los dibujos están llenos de color pero otros son monocromáticos.
In the pictures below, you can see my son Franco posing at the entrance of the museum and some of his portraits. He loves drawing caricatures!
